Seasonal Staples

As we start approaching my favorite season of the year, both Winter and the holidays, I wanted to mention some staple pieces you need to have in your closet for the cold weather.
All things knit of course. Sweaters and cardigans have been really fun to shop for this season. I actually like to rent my sweater so I get more of a variety and can order statement sweaters to wear a couple of times and return. To be completely honest, my cardigans are from Old Navy and TJ Maxx. I do not know if your TJ Maxx is good but the one in Charlotte is phenomenal. I have gotten several classic sweaters from there that I can easily layer with or wear alone on a warmer day.
I used to not like knee high boots, but after I received the ones, I ordered. I try to put outfits together centered around these shoes. I am extremely particular about boots, so it took me a while to land on these, but they are perfect. I love the look where they fold over, a pointed toe, and pointed heel. They are from Urban Revivo, and I will link them below!
Now that it is cold and there are holiday decorations everywhere, I have been loving my walks. With the leaves changing and crisp air, what is not to love? However, it has been getting in the 40s here when I am walking so, I like to wear headbands to cover my ears. This is a simple purchase from CVS for like $7 and 3 different colored cotton headbands. I actually think they are so cute and practical for the Winter, especially with athleisure.
As we know, I love to layer. With everything. So, naturally, a white button down has gone under everything that I own. From sweaters to sweatshirts, it adds such a cute flare to a basic look. I love a good collar, so this not only adds another layer over your arms, but also another dimension to your sweater. This goes the same for a long sleeve black turtleneck. From Skims specifically!
I have debuted one of these already this season and I cannot wait to share more. Scarves! Mine have come from an array of places but they will wear with anything. I have a black and white one to a scarf that has every color of the rainbow. They keep your neck warm and guess what. You can wear blue jeans and your black turtleneck and slap on a scarf to be such a fun, and most importantly warm, outfit to transform from day to night. I recommend starting at Damson Madder to find your first perfect scarf
