Springing Trends

Who What Wear talks about the upcoming spring trends as seen in the spring/summer collections for 2025. They used words such as romance, opulence, and soft power to describe this new weather’s takeovers. I myself am very excited for this seemingly entrance back into the individualistic, strong style that once existed. What I am adjourning to, goodbye minimalism, welcome back to whatever you want to wear… and more.
I am going to go through a few of the 9 trends that I feel I have words to encourage or discourage this launch. I will link the article below if you want to read for yourself!
Personal Touches: I am beyond excited that this was mentioned! As our fashion world has been consumed with all things micro trends, this upcoming season… wear whatever you want! Groundbreaking right. We have had so much sameness with fashion influencers turning to the most minimalistic ideas that are nowhere near innovative. I am not saying this is bad, but with the reemergence of adding your personal touch, we get to see the creative in everyone and simply reimagine fashion as a personal expression.
The Modern Socialite: Ah, always a beautiful, lovely addition to every season. Dress to impress, am I right? This is what I think I would see walking around the Upper East Side of New York. This is where I would like to fall when I am around 50 years old, with people asking questions about the mysterious, put together, class act they just walked by.
Isn’t It Grand?: This introduces the maximalist in me. I feel like I used to wear more bold textures, and outfits overall. I simply blame this on corporate America. I am excited to shop for balloon pants, huge sleeves, and my favorite platform shoes. It is so much fun to dress with the ‘more is more’ mindset, although not practical.
Craving Romance: It is a week from Valentine’s Day so I particularly liked this one. This trend for the Spring season invites a sense of airiness with sheer fabric, floral patterns, and flowy bounce to a garment. I have been a fan of sheer fabric for a time now but I have not mastered the stylistic aspect of it. I guess this is my season to try this out. Happy Cuffing Season!
